ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) A South Carolina man charged with homicide in an infant's 2009 death has been arrested again on allegations that he sexually assaulted an 8-year-old girl.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reports 34-year-old Anwar Young of Orangeburg is charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor.
Young was awaiting trial after being charged three years ago with homicide by child abuse after authorities accused him of shaking his 2-month-old toddler to death. A judge set bond for Young at $35,000 and ordered him to have no contact with children.
Authorities declined to say whether Young knew the alleged sexual assault victim.
Young refused to appear before a judge for a bond hearing Thursday. It was rescheduled for next week.
