SUMTER, SC (WIS) - Three men are in custody after one of them was shot in the behind during an armed robbery at a Sumter business Monday morning.
According to the Sumter Police Department, the robbery happened around 10:30 a.m. at Sumter Financial Services located at 547-B Miller Rd.
Police said three black males approximately 25-35 years old wearing masks and brandishing handguns entered the business demanding money. 
The suspects obtained an undetermined amount of cash from the business before exiting the rear of the business. An employee at the business fired a gunshot at the suspects as they were fleeing and hit one of them in the buttocks, investigators said. 
The suspects were last seen leaving the scene in a small black compact vehicle southbound on Miller Rd. 
Law enforcement was later notified that a gunshot victim had been dropped off at Clarendon Memorial Hospital in Manning by subjects in a vehicle matching the description of the suspects. 
Sumter Police and Sumter County Sheriff's deputies located the vehicle on Hwy 521 South driving back toward Sumter. 
A vehicle pursuit ensued after officers attempted to stop the vehicle. The pursuit ended when the vehicle crashed near the intersection of Boulevard Road and Plowden Mill Road. 
Two subjects exited the vehicle and attempted to flee but were apprehended. The third suspect is in custody and being treated for a gunshot wound to his rear pelvic area at Clarendon Memorial Hospital.
The identities of the suspects are being withheld pending positive identification. Police said more arrests could follow.
